Who Are We? In 2009, our family set out on a God-sized dream to adopt a child from Africa, specifically Ethiopia. It was God-sized because international adoption is not easy and the cost is estimated at $31,000. You may ask, “Why Ethiopia and not a child here in the United States?” For us, God placed a burden on our heart to adopt an orphan from a region where most people live on less than a $1 per day. In Ethiopia alone, there are more than 4.5 million orphans who live in under-resourced orphanages or on the streets to fin for themselves. Street children can be as young as 3 and 4 years of age.
What's Needed Now? To date, we have saved and raised about $28,500 and are SO CLOSE to completely funding our adoption which includes ALL costs related to our daughter’s stay at the orphanage, legal proceedings, agency representation, immigration issues, and two required trips to Ethiopia. We only have about $2,500 left to completely fund the adoption costs. We believe we can close this gap with your help!
